Allez Active Co in VoyageLA: The Story Behind Our Kids’ Activewear

We’re excited to share that Allez Active Co founder Lien Vets has been featured in VoyageLA’s Hidden Gems series! The interview explores her journey from Belgium to Los Angeles, her career in fashion, and how life as a mom of three inspired a kids’ activewear brand.

At the heart of it all is a simple idea: kids’ clothes should keep up with everything their day brings.

From Belgium to LA, with a love of sport

Born and raised in Belgium, Lien began playing semi-professional soccer at 16. In 2007, at 24, she moved to Los Angeles with a one-way ticket and a desire to try something new.

After finding her footing in a new country, she built a career on the sales side of fashion and eventually launched Noella Showroom, representing brands from around the world. Becoming a mom of three brought a new perspective to that experience, and the inspiration for something of her own.

Kids’ activewear for the whole day

As a parent with a background in both sports and fashion, Lien noticed a gap between everyday kids’ clothing and traditional sportswear. She wanted pieces her kids could wear to school, run around in at recess, take straight to soccer practice, and still wear to dinner with their grandparents.

That idea became Allez Active Co: comfortable, functional, playful clothing that gives kids the freedom to move without needing an outfit change at every stop.

From bold printed active shorts to soft sweat sets and everyday essentials, the focus is on fun colors and versatile pieces that kids love wearing and parents feel good about buying.

A name with a personal connection

The interview also touches on the challenges of building a business, including an early name change. The next chapter brought a name that felt especially meaningful: Allez.

In French, “allez” means “let’s go” or “come on.” It also has a personal connection for Lien, who uses the expression in her native Flemish. It’s a fitting spirit for a brand rooted in movement, family, and moving forward.

The families who make it worthwhile

One of the most rewarding parts of building Allez has been hearing from parents about how much their kids love wearing the clothes. Seeing those pieces become part of other families’ everyday lives is what makes the work feel so personal.

Off the clock, sport and family remain central to Lien’s life, whether she’s playing tennis, helping coach her kids’ teams, or keeping them connected to their Belgian roots.

Thank you to VoyageLA for sharing the story behind Allez Active Co and Noella Showroom, and to every family who has supported this journey.
